Winemaker Christophe Paubert practiced simple methods to show how this rare variety can excel in Napa Valley. The wine was fermented and aged in 50% new French oak barrels and 50% stainless steel barrels for 16 months. The usage of stainless steel allowed the wine to broadcast and preserve the purity and freshness of the Malbec fruit. The final blend includes a small amount of Petite Sirah, which reinforces the floral character from both varietals, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Varietal Composition: 83% Malbec, 15% Petite Sirah, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon
