Stags' Leap Winery is truly a hidden gem in the highly acclaimed Stags Leap District. Located off a long, private road, our nineteenth-century stone winery and Victorian era Manor House are nestled against the Stags Leap Palisades east of the Silverado Trail. We invite you to make a reservation and visit this magical place with its beautiful gardens and stylish wines including the award-winning field blend, Ne Cede Malis, and opulent "The Leap" and "Audentia" Cabernet Sauvignon. We are unable to accommodate drop in guests due to traffic restrictions on our private road.

Estate Tour & Tasting

Enjoy an intimate 90 minute tour and tasting experience that explores the history of the estate, its unique terroir, and its superlative wines. Delight in the fascinating stories of one of California's earliest wine estates as you stroll the property and finish with a seated tasting in the stately Manor House.

Horace and Minnie Mizner Chase, the founders of Stags’ Leap Winery, were renowned for their lavish hospitality. Being at the epicenter of nineteenth-century San Francisco society during an era of great wealth, they hosted such important guests as the King and Queen of Portugal. In their tradition of grand hospitality, we offer a signature Private Estate Experience lasting 90-120 minutes available by reservation request only:

For groups of 8 or more guests, we can accommodate a private tasting at 12pm or 3pm by reservation only. Please submit an inquiry below with a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice.
