Your Mom is Legendary
For more than 130 years and across the generations, the garden has been at the center of all the best stories at Stags’ Leap Winery. This Mother’s Day, we’re taking inspiration from our estate garden to make it easy for you and your mom to create a fun and refreshing time together.
Whether you’re far apart or right next door, our tips will get you started on your way to a legendary celebration worthy of Mom.

Garden Party with Mom
Party of two? Or getting together with all the moms, sons, and daughters from across your friends-and-family circle? However you like to celebrate, a garden party is the perfect way to get the conversation—and fun—started. If you don’t have a garden, that’s ok. Bouquets of spring flowers on the windowsills will set the mood, too.

Tea Bag Toss
Like miniature cornhole with party frocks. Set up two teacups on a long table, across the floor, or on the lawn. Toss damp teabags into the cups. Whoever sinks the most bags wins.

Lessons
Sometimes “teachable moments” are obvious. But more often, it’s the little things you say along the way that make the biggest impact. What wisdom did Mom drop that stuck with you? And what did she learn from you?

- Why did you choose your career?

- Which animal are you most like?
- Favorite childhood memory?

- What was your grandmother like?

Garden Party Gifts She'll Love
A week of Mom. Why stop at just one day? Stop in every day for a week, or as often as you can, with a present and share a glass of wine and a chat. Your gifts can be big or small, objects or experiences—the most important thing is that they create an opportunity to bring the two of you closer together.
A week of gifts. Can’t visit Mom? Have a gift, or e-gift, delivered every day instead. Pack 7 little gifts into one big box she can open, one per day, like an Advent calendar.
The best gift of all? Your time. Make a pact with Mom to connect at least once a week, all year long.
