Boasting a glorious shimmering golden hue, with bright and lively aromatic notes of lemon crème, white pineapple, and melon. Delicate citrus blossoms and magnolia flowers add a floral elegance on the nose. The ripe and full palate offers flavors of Golden Delicious apples, Asian pear, and lemon curd. Spiced oak notes of vanilla, brioche toast, and ginger complement the fruit, while exotic floral notes provide a lovely perfume. Full-bodied with a creamy texture, the finish is long and satisfying, highlighted by hints of lychee and a beautiful mineral character.
Vintage:
2024
Varietal:
Chardonnay
Blend:
99% Chardonnay, 1% Viognier
Oak treatment:
50% neutral French oak barrels, 25% new French oak, and 25% stainless steel for 4 1/2 months
To preserve fresh aromatics, the grapes are gently pressed. A quarter of the wine is fermented in stainless steel. Another quarter is fermented and aged in new French oak barrels, with the remaining 50% in seasoned French oak. Barrel treatment preserves the essential purity of the fruit while adding subtle oak complexity. The wine, which did not undergo malolactic fermentation, was matured for seven months with bi-weekly bâtonnage to preserve the freshness of the aromas and flavors, and for increased mouthfeel.
Our Chardonnay is sourced from cooler southern Napa Valley appellations, where the San Pablo Bay fog cools the vineyards throughout the growing season, allowing for ideal reservation of freshness, acidity, and vibrancy. Most of the fruit comes from Carneros, which provides citrus, mineral, and crisp apple notes. A small percentage is from Oak Knoll, which contributes more tropical and stone fruit characteristics.

Our 2024 Vintage
2023 delivered one of the most prolonged and compact harvests in recent Napa Valley history. The long growing season delayed the start of harvest until the fifth of September—two and a half weeks later than the previous year. This posed a logistical challenge in the cellar as tanks quickly filled. Additionally, there was concern about completing the harvest before the rainy season. Our winemaking team rose to the occasion and made the 2023 harvest season a bountiful yield of exceptional quality fruit. The grapes displayed intense color and complex flavors, maintaining a vibrant acidity that adds a distinctive character to what will surely be remembered as an excellent wine collector’s vintage.
