Vintage 2013
Wine Type Red
Varietal Red Table Wine
Region Napa Valley
Winemaker Christophe Paubert

The 2013 vintage began with a warm, dry spring that brought early bud break and created ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set. With no surprises throughout the growing season, temperatures were consistently favorable and even, resulting in notably healthy vines as fruit went through veraison and started ripening. The overall dry season made for an early and condensed harvest.

Tasting Notes

This Rhône-styled blend is aromatically beautiful in pomegranate, strawberry and fresh rose. The palate is juicy and mouth coating, rich in black cherry, plum and mocha yet lifted by lively acidity and noteworthy streaks of white pepper and clove. While dense and age-worthy, it remains vibrant and balanced now and would make a wonderful companion to hearty foods.
