Embodying the legacy of Amparo Grange, lady of the Stags’ Leap Manor House
2007 Amparo Napa Valley Rosé
Named for Amparo Grange, lady of the Stags’ Leap Manor House from 1941 to 1956, this wine embodies her legacy of gracious living and love of life, friends and family. This dry Grenache rosé came about out of winemaker Kevin Morrisey’s personal affection for the classic dry rosés of Tavel in the southern Rhône. Grenache is one of the varieties in the Stags’ Leap Petite Syrah blend, and Morrisey has found that it makes a wonderful picnic wine—dry, crisp, and delicately fruity. We think Amparo would approve.
